Sergio Delfino - Creator/Director

Sergio Delfino is a BAFTA-nominated creator/director of Cartoon Network animated series Chop Socky Chooks (26 x 22min) and animator on Academy Award-winning A Close Shave featuring Wallace and Gromit (1994).

Sergio has 18 years experience in the animation industry, with his early credits at renowned claymation studio Aardman Animation where he worked as a model maker and stop frame animator for commercials and films including Aardman’s first feature film Chicken Run (1999).

Since 2010, Sergio has been living and working in Sydney as an Animation Lead and Animator on feature films Legend of the Guardians, Happy Feet 2 and Lego the Movie. Most recently he has been working as Animation Director on Flying Bark CG series Tashi (52 x 11mins).

Rawr Media is currently in development on Sergio’s feature animation Meet the Freaks (1 x 90min).

Magali Rigaudias - Animation Director

Magali is an animation director with 20 years experience whose performances include Academy Award winning animated feature, Happy Feet.

Magali spent her formative years at George Lucas’ Industrial Light and Magic where she worked on visual effects for iconic feature films Star Wars, E.T, Harry Potter, The Hulk and Dragon Heart, nominated for an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects.

Since moving to Australia nine years ago, Magali has worked as Lead Animator on feature films Happy Feet (1 & 2) dir. George Miller and The Legend of the Guardians dir. Zack Snyder.

Magali is currently working as Animation Director on Rawr Media animated series in development, Stompy & Snorty (39 x 7min).

Paul Perrott - Animation Director

Paul has been working in animation for more than 20 years, a career spanning feature films, television series and commercials. Feature film credits include the Academy Award-winning Happy Feet, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Knowing, 28 Weeks Later and The Brothers Grimm. Paul was lead animator on animated features Legend of the Guardians and George Miller's Happy Feet Two. Paul led the animation team that won a D&AD Pencil award for the Yellow Pages commercial Party. Paul was Animation Director on Rawr Media’s A Cautionary Tail and is currently Animation Director on Flying Bark animated feature, Blinky Bill.

Jason Hannen-Williams - CG Supervisor

Jason has worked in the Visual Effects industry for over 10 years on many award winning feature films including Avatar and The Golden Compass which both won the Academy Award for Visual Effects.

Jason has worked at many of the leading Visual Effects companies in roles as Look Development Supervisor at Digital Domain and Lighting/Look Development Supervisor at Rainmaker Pictures. He has 19 feature film credits including Thor and Tranformers Dark Side of the Moon (Digital Domain), Pacific Rim (Industrial Light & Magic), Up (Pixar), Live Free or Die Hard (The Orphanage), Wanted (Framestore), Harry Potter (MPC), 300 and Happy Feet (Animal Logic).

Most recently Jason has taken on the role of CG supervisor on Rawr Media animated series Stompy & Snorty.

Simon Rippingale - Creator/Writer/Director

Simon is an Australian Academy Award winning director and writer with a background in animation and illustration.

Simon received an AFI nomination for Visual Effects on Gillian Armstrong ‘s Unfolding Florence which screened in competition at the Sundance. He was animation director on SBS film The 3G of Us, which was nominated for Best Foreign Animation at the Shanghai Magnolia Awards and screened in competition at Annecy. He was animation director on the ABC documentary Orchids which was nominated for Best Documentary at the 2011 IF Awards. Simon directed animated short A Cautionary Tail, starring Cate Blanchett, which won the Austin Film Festival Jury Award and won a 2014 AACTA Award.

As a freelance illustrator, Simon has contributed to a diverse range of print publications including The Sydney Morning Herald, The Herald Sun, The Financial review and The Diplomat.

Erica Harrison - Creator/Writer

Erica is an AWGIE-nominated film and television writer with a bent for the dark, funny and absurd. In 2013 she won the Academy-accredited Jury Award at the Austin Film Festival as writer of animated short, A Cautionary Tail, starring Cate Blanchett. The film has been nominated for a 2014 AACTA Award. Erica's first book, A Cautionary Tail, is published by Penguin Books.

Erica is co-creator and writer of animated children’s series, Stompy & Snorty, which was awarded an Australian Children’s Television Fund development grant. With a Master of Arts in Writing from UTS and a Bachelor of Science from UNSW, Erica has worked extensively as a freelance journalist and editor. Her fiction and non-fiction have appeared in a diverse range of publications, including The Australian, The Sydney Morning Herald, Australian Geographic, ProPhoto, Limelight, Cosmos and New Internationalist

Matt Hatton - Production Designer/Character Designer

Matt is an award winning designer and illustrator with many years experience across many disciplines ranging from character design and mascot design for merchandising and marketing. Matt designed for the Sydney 2000 Olympics, Paralympic Games, Cricket World Cup, Shanghai World Expo, NRL and for licensed properties for Warner Bros, Lucas film, Nestlé and Kellogg's.

Matt’s work in film and TV includes live action and animation, as concept designer, character designer, set and props designer, art director, graphic designer, poster designer, storyboard artist, sometimes all on the same film as in the case of Academy Award winning Happy Feet. Other credits include feature films Australia, Superman Returns, I,Robot, Gods of Egypt, Popbot and The Lego Movie. TV credits include Hi-5,Terra Nova, A Cautionary Tail and many television commercials.

Matt is currently Production Designer on Stompy and Snorty.

Pauline Piper - Founder & Producer, A Cautionary Tail & Stompy & Snorty

Pauline is an Australian Academy Award winning film and television producer specialising in animation and visual effects, and the founder of Rawr Media.

Pauline worked on visual effects on 300, World Trade Center and Academy-award winning Happy Feet at Animal Logic. At Framestore London she produced 3D creature animation for ITV's award-winning series Primeval and visual effects for feature films Wanted and The Dark Knight.

As an independent, Pauline was visual effects producer on Gillian Armstrong’s Unfolding Florence which screened at Sundance and received an AFI nomination for Visual Effects. She produced A Cautionary Tail starring Cate Blanchett which won a 2014 AACTA Award and screened at Edinburgh, Palm Springs and Austin where it won the Jury Award. Pauline was a recipient of Screen NSW’s Emerging Filmmaker’s Fund and Screen Australia’s Multiplatform Fund for the film which is also a book published by Penguin and an award-winning app.
